The /z/ sound with z and s

Today, we reviewed two spellings for the /z/ sound:

- z like in zoo, puzzle and zero

- s like in toes, nose and goes

Making the /Z/ sound with -s

We have already learned that the /z/ sound can be written with the letter z like in zipper, zoo and zero. Today, we will learn that the s sometimes makes the /z/ sound too, like in nose, rose and easy.
