Long i Spelling Words Review

Today, we have continued working with the Long i  words for the spelling test on Friday. 

Long I: -igh spelling and worksheet

Today, we are learning that the Long I sound can be written with -igh like in night, light, sight and firefighter. We also completed a worksheet with some of this vocabulary.

Today, we reviewed the spellings of the Long /e/ sound that we have learned about so far:

-e like in zero, me and even

-ee like in bee, green and sheep

-ea like in eat, seal and tea

-y like in happy, sunny and candy

Days of the Week Sequencing Activity

Long A Sound 2: -ay
