Today, we learned about the -ey spelling of the Long /e/ Sound like in monkey, donkey and keys.

Long /e/ with -e spelling and using pronouns

Today, we learned that the letter -e can make two sounds:

- the short /e/ sound like in ten, hen and pet

- the long /e/ sound like in zero, hero, and she

Do you know that he, she, we and me are pronouns? We practiced making lots of sentences with these special words:

-Give me the marker.
