Long O: /oa/ worksheets

Today, we reviewed words that contain the /oa/ spelling like in boat, soap and road. This spelling occurs at the beginning and in the middle of words, never at a the end.

Long O with the -oa Spelling

We are learning about the Long O Sound with the -oa spelling like in boat, road and soap. Remember that the -oa spelling goes at the beginning or in the middle of the word, never at the end. 

Finishing the Long I Packet

We have now finished working with the Long I sound and today we completed our Long I packets. Next week, we will begin working with a new sound! How exciting! 

Completing Sentences with Spelling Words

Today, we completed our Long I workbook. We did this worksheet in which we had to complete the sentences with our spelling words. We also read our book, Hide and Seek, again.

Today, we have continued working with the Long i  words for the spelling test on Friday.

-i like in tiger, spider and lion
-y like in my, fly and sky
-ie like in flies, cries and butterflies
-igh like in light, night and high
-i_e like in like, bike, and kite
